Aborder le pire par le rire (ou l’inverse)… La plume aiguisée sur les brisants de la vie, Copi (1932-1987) tailladait joyeusement dans les désordres du monde pour en extraire tout le tragique absurde et atrocement drôle. Jean-Michel Rabeux, qui lui aussi étrille volontiers les forfanteries d’une société gavée de normalité et les douces censures du conformisme résigné, a trouvé dans la folie froide des Quatre Jumelles (1973) une pièce à sa (dé)mesure : soient les sœurs Smith, riches et accro à la cocaïne, paumées sur la banquise alaskaïenne, et les soeurs Goldwashin, pauvres et acculées au crime… Complots machiavéliques, assassinats en série, aussitôt suivis de résurrections, d’infâmes trahisons, d’hilarants traquenards et rebelote, ça recommence de plus belle ! « Dézinguons la prise de pouvoir par les laveurs de cerveaux, les niais de la sécurité, pour qui nous sommes tous les victimes les uns des autres. » clame Jean-Michel Rabeux. En scène, les acteurs s’emparent avec gourmandise de ce poème trash pour en délivrer le souffle libertaire.
