Beaucoup de petites formes pour cette nouvelle édition des Rencontres. On retrouve aux Ulis le travail remarquable de Xavier Lot et du danseur Burkinabé Bienvenue Bazié : son corps tatoué, numéroté, sert de support à la recherche d’une parole sur l’identité à travers la culture et le regard que l’on porte sur l’autre. Ce corps, le chorégraphe le place dans un contexte émotionnel, politique et social qui donne à Welcome to Bienvenue les allures d’un voyage dans l’urgence de dire. Dans la même soirée, le danseur algérien Ahmed Khémis présente son travail Voyages de poussières, solo épuré, débarrassé des artifices, au plus près de la danse. Interprète remarqué notamment dans sa collaboration avec Odile Duboc pour Le Vif du Sujet, il porte en lui une félinité, une fluidité qui le font dépasser tous les codes, particulièrement ceux du hip hop au travers duquel il a été élevé. La dernière invitée de cette soirée est la canadienne Chanti Wadge, repérée l’année dernière à Danse à Lille, artiste pluridisciplinaire qui sait convoquer l’imaginaire aussi bien à travers le mouvement, les installations vidéo, le dessin, ou la photographie. A Brétigny, le solo se donne à voir par l’intermédiaire d’une thématique danse-cirque (voir plus loin « On danse, on cirque »).
Un bal pour s’amuser
Représentant la suisse, mais formée à Aix-en-Provence, Lyon et Toulouse, Perrine Valli développe actuellement son travail au sein de Mains d’œuvres à Saint-Ouen. Ici elle présente sa création 2006, une grande forme solo, qui préfère l’expérimentation à la représentation, qui mélange formes, couleurs et images. Série porte bien son nom, puisqu’elle envisage son spectacle par la confrontation de cinq courtes pièces, cinq résolutions possibles pour les questions fondamentales sur le son, le visuel, le temps, le mouvement… La forme collective qui ressort de ces Rencontres, si l’on exclut le trio des Petites Pièces chorégraphiques itinérantes de Lin Yuan Shang, est le projet de « bal moderne » de Philippe Jamet. La formule, rodée par de nombreux chorégraphes, permet de réaliser des soirées conviviales, et même festives, en mélangeant la pratique amateur et professionnelle, la création et l’apprentissage, des moments de préparations et de rencontres, le public initié et le tout public. Stages et rencontres sont par ailleurs organisés par les théâtres en lien avec le bal ou les artistes programmés. Les Salons du Château de Morsang-sur-Orge seront également l’écrin de deux projets singuliers : l’un mêle film vidéo, solos et duo (compagnie Artopie), l’autre utilise le procédé de la captation gestuelle (Zig Zag créations).
