Dans les cordes, frottées comme caressées, subtiles comme sensibles, les Rencontres internationales de la guitare vont ainsi décliner l’art et les manières d’aborder cet instrument sur la planète musique. Répertoires classiques mais aussi thématiques populaires, les pratiques varient selon les époques et continents. Emblématique de cette diversité à l’œuvre, le duo Farangi, qui associe le 30 mars la contrebasse de Renaud Garcia-Fons au théorbe de Claire Antonini, marie les rythmes de l’Orient et les harmonies de la musique baroque, avec pour centre de gravité le bassin méditerranéen, tandis que le duo Siqueira Lima, paire brasilo-urugayenne de guitaristes, jouera avec doigté, parfois sur une seule guitare à quatre mains, des œuvres de compositeurs brésiliens. Le lendemain, place aux candidats du concours international de guitare, qui devront notamment interpréter une pièce spécialement créée pour cette finale. Quant au samedi, elle verra se succéder sur scène pléthore d’artistes, pour un programme aux larges horizons, des rives latino-américaines aux Balkans… Et pour finir, le dimanche, après une introduction par le lauréat du concours international de guitare 2022, le chanteur Laurent Naouri s’associera au guitariste de jazz Fréderic Loiseau pour revisiter les mélodies françaises, Debussy et compagnie.
