C’est dans un donjon du XIIème siècle que se déroulent les Riches heures musicales de la Rotonde. Un cadre historique idoine pour écouter de la musique ancienne. A l’occasion de sa 27ème édition, le festival provençal convie des ensembles passionnants de la scène baroque. Le Concerto Soave de Jean-Marc Aymes (avec la soprano Maria-Cristina Kiehr) ouvre le bal (le 5 août) avec un programme consacré à la musique féminine dans l’Italie du Seicento. Direction ensuite la Bulgarie dont l’ensemble a cappella Balkanes restitue les polyphonies profanes et sacrées (le 7 août). La violoniste Alice Piérot et son ensemble Les Veilleurs de Nuit donnent ensuite à entendre les Sonates du Rosaire de Heinrich Biber (qu’ils ont remarquablement gravées pour le label Alpha). Un duo étonnant réunit le pianoforte d’Alice Zylberaljch et la mandoline de Florentino Calvo, dans des œuvres du Siècle des Lumières (le 12 août). L’ensemble Filigrane commémore pour sa part les 200 ans de la mort de Haydn en jouant ses pièces pour baryton (l’instrument à cordes sympathiques, pas la voix ! le 15 août). C’est avec un concert-lecture (le 17 août) organisé par Alain Carré d’après «La vie des Dames galantes» de Pierre de Bourdeille, seigneur de Brantôme, que s’achève le festival.
