En 2007, le chorégraphe avait développé une idée d’une grande simplicité, des plus concrètes et vivantes, autour de la relation danse-musique, en s’attachant à la gestuelle du chef d’orchestre. Un état de corps absolument fascinant, qu’il a incarné dans un solo emblématique sur la musique du Sacre du Printemps. Bougeant les lignes entre voir, écouter, danser, et interpréter, le projet a trouvé de nouvelles résolutions plus de dix ans après, jusqu’à aujourd’hui. En 2018, il invite en effet trois danseurs à se glisser dans cette partition chorégraphique si singulière et pourtant tellement élémentaire, en cherchant leurs propres espaces d’interprétation et leurs propres visions. Dernièrement, c’est avec douze étudiants du Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris qu’il a entrepris de démultiplier sa pièce. Au Festival d’Automne, une occasion unique de voir les différentes portées de l’œuvre.
