Pas à pas, presque sans faire de bruit, Nacera Belaza construit une œuvre profonde et sensible, à mille lieues de toute démonstration de force. Et pourtant, de son écriture se dégage une puissance unique, qu’elle met en œuvre le plus souvent avec sa sœur Dalila. Les notions de densité, de pesanteur ou de tension sont au cœur de son geste, depuis des œuvres comme Le Feu, ou Périr pour de bon. Son travail de corps est si minutieusement travaillé, qu’il est difficilement lisible dans d’autres enveloppes que celles des deux sœurs.
L’expérience du duo renouvelée à l’envi
L’an dernier, elle verse quasiment dans la gémellité en écrivant Le Cri, un appel sourd à la transe, venue du plus profond d’un mouvement commun, utilisant le balancement et l’ancrage au sol jusqu’à l’explosion extatique. Aujourd’hui, elle reprend la forme du duo en créant Les Sentinelles, avec l’envie de pousser encore la recherche de fond qui l’obsède. Occuper l’espace et le rendre tangible, faire du vide un réceptacle pour nos perceptions… Les Sentinelles puisent leur force dans cette incessante quête, qu’elle démultipliera dans une pièce de groupe pour la Biennale de la danse de Lyon en septembre.
