Qu’ont effectivement en commun des artistes comme Olivia Rosenthal, Chloé Moglia, Mitia Fedotenko, François Tanguy, Jonah Bokaer, David Hallberg, Aude Lachaise ou Michaël Allibert ? Peu importe, il suffit juste de provoquer les rencontres pour que certaines évidences puissent apparaître. C’est le rôle de la SACD, instigateur de cette manifestation en partenariat avec le Festival d’Avignon. La société qui œuvre pour le droit des auteurs entend par ce biais leur donner un espace d’expression singulier, encourageant l’inattendu à surgir au hasard de collaborations provoquées pour l’occasion. Au fil du temps, les Sujets à Vif sont devenus des références pour l’émergence de formes totalement hybrides, où l’on ne distingue plus la danse du théâtre, l’auteur de l’interprète… Les huit propositions de cette édition dérogeront-elles à cette règle implicite ? Le danseur Mitia Fedotenko puise son inspiration dans Hamlet-Machine de Heiner Müller : si son nom est fortement associé à celui de François Verret, il a pu flirter également du côté du cirque, du théâtre et de la performance. Aujourd’hui, il se tourne vers le metteur en scène François Tanguy, avec lequel il pointe les failles de notre société. Le comédien et danseur Michaël Allibert s’en remet quant à lui à Aude Lachaise, elle-même trublion chorégraphique, pour dépeindre un monde désenchanté.
De belles figures de la danse au programme
Belle association que cette rencontre entre la romancière Olivia Rosenthal et la circassienne Chloé Moglia… Cette dernière est la complice de Mélissa Von Vépy, dont on se remémore la performance lors d’un Sujet à Vif en 2009 comme d’une traversée du miroir. L’auteure s’appuie sur le vertige, sur l’appel du vide propre à l’exercice du trapèze, qu’elle met en lien avec le film d’Alfred Hitchcock, Vertigo (Sueurs froides). Leur duo est une affaire de correspondances, de sensations, de frissons, par le biais de deux histoires personnelles, mais en hommage au grand maître du suspens. Côté danse, on note encore la présence de Jonah Bokaer – prix nouveau talent chorégraphie de la SACD – qui rencontre David Hallberg, danseur étoile de l’American Ballet Theater autour de l’histoire de son « transfert » au Bolchoï. Ou encore Gregory Maqoma dans une distribution 100% Afrique du Sud, et Mickael Marklund, qui fut danseur chez Anne-Teresa de Keersmaeker, sous la direction de Laurent Chétouane. Nicolas Truong, que les festivaliers connaissent pour son Théâtre des idées, propose quant à lui un théâtre philosophique à travers son Projet Luciole. Avec la complicité de deux autres habitués des lieux, Valérie Dréville et Nicolas Bouchaud, comme agitateurs de la pensée.
