Waas Gramser et Kris Van Trier travaillent ensemble depuis 1991 – à travers la compagnie du tg STAN, celle de Maten de Guy Cassiers, puis avec le collectif d’acteurs De Onderneming dont ils sont les fondateurs. Depuis 2006, la « section plein air » de la compagnie De Onderneming a pour nom Comp.Marius. Gramser et Van Trier ont d’abord quitté les salles de théâtre pour une vieille tribune de cirque sur l’Escaut. Comme naturellement, jouer en plein air et en extérieur est devenu leur spécialité. Ils ont construit une nouvelle tribune de bois et ont porté à la scène des adaptations de textes classiques au bord de l’eau, dans des parcs, sur des terrains vagues, qu’il pleuve ou que brille le soleil. Ce qui motive le duo, la présentation d’un théâtre transparent, simple et populaire. Comp.Marius nous propose aujourd’hui une version « en les murs » des Sunshine Boys de l’Américain Neil Simon. Deux célébrités de l’âge d’or de la comédie et du vaudeville, Al Lewis et Willy Clark, remontent sur le plateau pour reprendre leur duo mythique. Les deux sexagénaires jouent à nouveau leur sketch alors qu’ils ne se parlent plus depuis onze ans…. Un spectacle prometteur, dans sa version française.
