Ce rendez-vous rennais est certainement l’une des programmations les plus originales de l’été. La ville entière se transforme en scène(s) de propositions spectaculaires ou plus intimistes, entre chapiteau, esplanade, opéra, rivière, jardins, péniche ou cafés. Ces lieux – dédiés ou détournés – sont investis par nombre d’artistes et compagnies locaux, nationaux ou internationaux, se parant d’ambiances plurielles et de créativité. La curiosité y nourrit la représentation, avec une sélection artistique qui réussit à organiser ce beau chahut de genres, sans éparpillement, avec la ville pour unité de lieu et le déclin du jour pour unité de temps. En plein air, on trouvera, pêle-mêle, une grosse trentaine d’installations et spectacles, entre autres le baroque Opéra Pagaï aux déambulations toujours plus atypiques (les 10 & 11), les excellentissimes musiciens de Sergent Pépère (le 8) et du Koçani Orkestar (le 10), le tout ponctué des drolatiques «Contre-Visites guidée de Jérôme Poulain» arpentant les sites à rebrousse-poil. Sur les différentes scènes couvertes, créations circassiennes et théâtrales alterneront avec des concerts de tous horizons dont une soirée napolitaine (le 8 à l’Opéra) ou l’étrange Soap & Skin d’Australie (le 10 à l’Antipode).
