Théâtres, musiques, performances, danses, marionnettes, cirque, installations, chevaux, déambulations : une orgie d’arts et de mouvements emplit les territoires du quotidien, entre parcs, rues, églises, esplanades, opéra et autres lieux surprises. C’est entre chien et loup que Rennes se transforme, avec comme souci constant et ô combien pertinent d’accompagner les publics dans une magnifique désorientation de tous les plaisirs… Une quarantaine de spectacles émaille un parcours faussement décousu, où la confusion est un ordre.
Aux confins du cirque et des arts plastiques
Côté scène musicale, on retrouve pêle-mêle le pianiste cubain Harold Lopez-Nussa en trio (le 8 à l’Opéra), une carte blanche à Syd Matters, déjà rompu à l’exercice du concert déplacé dans la ville (le 5 à l’opéra et le 6 au Cloître St-Mélaine) ou les fanfarons jazz de Quelques Fiers Mongols, qui ont délaissé Led Zeppelin pour le répertoire d’ACDC (du 6 au 9 juillet dans les rues de Rennes). Côté arts théâtraux et visuels, la Cie Monstre(s) crée une installation engourdissante aux confins du cirque et des arts plastiques (tous les jours aux Beaux-Arts), la Française des Comptages retourne l’écran de projection pour un tournage au temps réel du film (Esplanade De Gaulle les 8 et 9), et tout au long du festival, le travail du collectif belge LOD est mis en avant lors de quatre spectacles où la musique est regardée comme matière théâtrale.
