« Les Veillées, explique le metteur en scène Guy Alloucherie, c’est par tous les moyens – cirque, danse, théâtre, vidéo – aller à la rencontre des [habitants] pour collecter des témoignages et inventer, ensemble, des formes d’art où les gens se sentent concernés par ce qui [se] dit et ce qui [se] fait. » Ainsi, du 24 septembre au 10 octobre, comme ils l’ont fait par le passé au sein de nombreuses autres communes, les artistes de la compagnie Hendrick Van der Zee vont s’inscrire dans le quotidien de Sartrouville. Performances, entrevues, activités de la vie locale, réalisation de vidéos, discussions de tous ordres, partage de savoirs et d’émotions… La matière brute récoltée lors de tous ces échanges donnera corps à un spectacle pluridisciplinaire. Un spectacle qui, au cours de deux Veillées, « [reflètera] la richesse d’un territoire et [offrira] aux habitants la possibilité de voir d’un œil nouveau leur ville ou leur quartier ».
