Michel Monnereau, auteur vivant à la plume acérée, s’inscrit dans la grande lignée des maîtres du rire athlètes du calembour, du mot d’esprit, des raccourcis éclatants et des glissades déconneuses. Auscultant les travers et les prouesses du « bipède humain », il imagine un zoo humain dont Catherine Artigala et Florent Meyer assurent la visite guidée, soutenus en musique par Nicolaï Maslenko. D’un « règlement récompensant les circonstances de la vie les plus remarquables » jusqu’à un florilège distancié et pragmatique sur la mort, le spectacle part à la rencontre de représentants loufoques de l’espèce humaine : conférencière entichée de harengs, chasseur de CRS louche, mère haïssant sa progéniture surdouée et autres spécimens du même acabit. « Sentences lapidaires, dictons vengeurs, définitions satiriques » et autres « parodies de lettres administratives » sont autant d’occasion de flirter avec l’absurde, auquel l’humanité, plus encore que le langage, offre de sempiternelles ressources !
