La mémoire l’avait depuis longtemps quitté. Cet homme baignait dans le flot du présent, libre des tristes fantômes d’enfance et des épines du temps, muré à jamais dans l’éternel recommencement des jours. Il oubliait en même temps qu’il vivait, donc faisait et refaisait, avec l’innocence insatiable des candides. Ignorant sa propre identité et inconscient à lui-même. Jusqu’à ce rêve entêté qui revint frapper plusieurs fois, jusqu’à ces nuits hantées par l’effluve féminin d’un indécis parfum qui tailla brutalement le voile de l’oubli, caressant les images d’autrefois terrées au tréfonds de son corps. Peu à peu revinrent les ombres d’hier, bribes de conversations avec ses parents, souvenirs de son travail de jardinier, d’une femme aimée… éclats brisés d’une existence refoulée. « Si l’homme se souvient, il peut avancer, il peut construire, donc il peut créer. » constate Rodolphe Corrion, jeune metteur en scène à la tête du Théâtre de l’épopée. « L’acteur gestuel décide de taire ce qu’il peut raconter par le corps, comme le passé apparaît par images parfois incomplètes de la réalité. Ce qui ne se dit pas est inscrit dans notre corps. » Suivant le cheminement étrange de cet homme qui réapprend le poids du passé et reconstruit son histoire, le mime Hadrien Trigance cherche à laisser s’échapper l’ineffable au cœur du mouvement.
