« L’Homme semé, c’est l’histoire de frères et sœurs qui se réunissent pour exécuter le testament de leur père. Celui-ci leur a demandé d’interpréter l’Œdipe-roi de Sophocle ! Problème : ils ne comprennent rien à la pièce parce qu’ils ne savent pas qui sont ces personnages d’arrière-plan si souvent évoqués par Sophocle, tels Cadmos, Agénor, Téléphassa… Petit à petit, leurs recherches et leurs impros vont les amener à démêler les fils de la légende.
L’arrière-plan du mythe
Si l’histoire d’Œdipe n’était qu’une métaphore du désir de l’enfant pour sa mère, on serait vraiment dans une mauvaise paraphrase. Ici, nous remplaçons donc l’enquête d’Œdipe par une enquête familiale sur l’arrière-plan du mythe, qui va nous amener à découvrir qu’Œdipe rappelle avant tout que, chez les Grecs, l’étranger n’est pas un problème mais bien une solution. Les questions d’inceste et de parricide, mais aussi de sédentarité, d’agriculture et d’élevage parcourent donc cet Homme semé. Pour cela, je me suis appuyé sur les écrits de Claude Levi-Strauss. Pour aider cette famille non érudite, qui ne fait pas semblant de comprendre la mythologie, mais s’y attelle joyeusement. »
