Chaque année au mois de juin, la phalange de Jean-Claude Casadesus se voue au piano le temps de trois journées de concerts au format unique d’une durée idéale de 60 minutes. Pour le concert d’ouverture, la programmation se plaît d’ailleurs à se souvenir que le piano, fut, avant l’avènement de la musique enregistrée, le vecteur essentiel de la musique d’orchestre et de l’opéra, à travers transcriptions et paraphrases d’opéra : le pianiste coréen Kun Woo Paik jouera une version de la main de Liszt de la Valse du Faust de Gounod avant de retrouver « Casa » et ses musiciens lillois dans le Troisième Concerto de Beethoven (le 12 juin à 20h). Pour le reste, la programmation ouverte et inventive ose laisser une place prédominante aux jeunes talents de l’instrument (Rémi Geniet, Barbara Dang, Guillaume Vincent, Kotaro Fukuma), aux musiciens de jazz (Gregory Privat, Bobby Few) et aux projets décalés… Parmi ceux-ci, un ciné-concert de Paul Lay autour de films de Buster Keaton, une carte blanche à Auxane Cartigny qui revisite des musiques de jeux vidéo, un conte musical en compagnie de Jean-Pierre Marielle ou une rencontre entre la musique de Scriabine et le jazz sous les doigts de Lada Nevmyatullina et Swantje Rietz.
