A ceux qui n’ont pas eu la chance de découvrir L’Infedeltà Delusa cet été au Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, les Gémeaux proposent une séance de rattrapage. L’opéra de Haydn, composé en 1773 et tombé depuis dans l’oubli, associe l’effervescent chef d’orchestre Jérémie Rhorer au metteur en scène de théâtre Richard Brunel. Un binôme palpitant, qui exalte à merveille la verve comique de cet ouvrage basé sur un livret de Marco Coltellini. Les péripéties amoureuses sont prétexte à une invention mélodique toujours soignée. Les chanteurs, jeunes et prometteurs, sont issus de l’Académie européenne de musique, lieu de perfectionnement mis en place par le Festival d’Aix. Dans la fosse prennent place les instruments anciens du Cercle de l’Harmonie, galvanisés par leur violon solo Julien Chauvin. A coup sûr le meilleur prélude aux commémorations de 2009, fêtant les 200 ans de la mort de Haydn.
