Pour Link Berthomieux danse et famille sont intimement liées. Fils de la danseuse et chorégraphe Vendetta Mathéa, il a été biberonné au contemporain, au jazz, au classique, élevé sur les planches dès l’âge de 12 ans, avant de découvrir le hip-hop et de briller dans les battles. Avec Vendetta, le solo qu’il crée aujourd’hui au Théâtre Golovine, ce lien se resserre encore, puisqu’il y explore ses blessures enfantines. « On dit souvent que la famille est d’or. Pourtant nos plus proches sont ceux qui nous font le plus mal. » Interrogeant son entourage, son père, son grand-père, remontant le fil de ses maux « pour y mettre du mouvement », comme il le dit joliment, et notamment le rejet ressenti à cause de son métissage, il entreprend de noyer peurs et non-dits dans un message de compréhension et d’espoir. Multi talentueux, il signe non seulement la chorégraphie mais aussi les textes et la musique de ce solo en clair-obscur.
