MUSIQUE CONTEMPORAINE / FESTIVAL D'AUTOMNE
Moins compositeur que joueur de sons, Pierre-Yves Macé (né en 1980) entrelace dans son œuvre musique instrumentale et électronique, schémas savants et culture musicale populaire. Sa musique relève souvent du recyclage. C’est le cas en particulier de Song Recycle (2010) où des fragments retravaillés d’interprétations souvent approximatives de tubes glanées sur internet dialoguent avec le piano, en une sorte de cycle de lieder postmoderne. Pierre-Yves Macé poursuit aujourd’hui ce travail avec Song Recital, où les « voix phonographiques » de Song Recycle sont réarrangées pour la soprano Natalie Raybould et l’ensemble instrumental L’Instant donné. Une autre création, Segments et Apostilles, tissage instrumental et électronique, est aussi au programme.
