Après avoir monté Shakespeare, Berkoff, Copi, Sarah Kane, la nécessité d’un retour à des formes réduites minimales s’est imposée au metteur en scène Antoine Lemaire de la Compagnie Tech, comme un refuge naturel de l’intime, de la confidence, de la proximité. Ce sont des formes propices à la reprise de parole dans une approche directe au public pour aborder philosophiquement des thèmes liés à l’intimité. L’Instant T est une pièce à deux voix sur la crise d’un couple de quadragénaires, observée avec minutie : la lassitude, l’angoisse du vieillissement, la difficulté relationnelle de l’homme et de la femme, la sexualité, la peur de la solitude… À travers une succession de confidences, l’homme et la femme tentent de retrouver l’instant T qui a signé la mort de leur couple, un instant qui précède même leur intention de rupture. Il ne s’est rien passé peut-être à cet instant précis mais plus rien n’est désormais possible entre ces deux êtres. L’Instant T raconte ce voyage irréversible, masquant mal le mépris installé entre eux à la façon de Godard.
