Théâtre de Sartrouville et des Yvelines / d’après Robert Walser / mes Bérangère Vantusso
Il est fils de bonne famille et pourtant il entre à l’Institut Benjamenta, établissement pour domestiques qui enseigne l’obéissance, la discrétion, la soumission, l’effacement… Anti-héros sorti de l’imaginaire de l’écrivain suisse Robert Walser, Jacob von Gunten devient aujourd’hui un personnage de théâtre à travers le regard de Bérangère Vantusso. Dans le spectacle créé par cette dernière, en juillet dernier, au Festival d’Avignon, sept comédien-ne-s se mêlent à des marionnettes hyperréalistes, constituant « une seule et même population fantasmagorique ». Relations complexes entre maîtres et esclaves, manipulateurs et manipulés, démultiplication des modes de jeu : la fondatrice de la Compagnie Trois-six-trente signe une représentation au sein de laquelle « l’onirisme tient lieu de réalité ». Une représentation qui tend à « faire de l’acteur une marionnette », et « des marionnettes des humains ».
