Lauréate à seize ans du prestigieux Concours Sibelius d’Helsinki, la violoniste géorgienne Lisa Batiashvili a depuis acquis une aisance et une maturité de plus en plus convaincantes, qu’ont soulignées ses nombreux concerts parisiens ces dernières années, dans les concertos de Berg, Dvorak, Sibelius et surtout Prokofiev. Engagée dans la défense du répertoire contemporain, elle a créé en 2006 le Concerto pour violon de Magnus Lindberg, qu’elle reprend ce soir. Connu pour son écriture volontiers tellurique, le compositeur finlandais a dû ici s’accommoder d’un orchestre mozartien (l’œuvre est une commande du Mostly Mozart Festival de New York) sans pour autant se départir de son style. Appelé à diriger cette création française, Lionel Bringuier, qu’Esa-Pekka Salonen a choisi pour l’assister au Los Angeles Philharmonic, propose un programme digne de son mentor finlandais, avec l’Alborada del gracioso de Ravel et Petrouchka de Stravinsky.
