Le Corbusier aura décidément contribué à rapprocher musique et architecture. On pense bien sûr au Pavillon Philips conçu pour l’Exposition universelle de Bruxelles en 1958, dans lequel était diffusé le Poème électronique de Varèse. Mais même après sa mort, les liens perdurent. En 2005 ont ainsi été créées les Litanies de Ronchamp, hommage du compositeur Gilbert Amy à l’architecture de la chapelle Notre-Dame de Ronchamp, construite par « Le Corbu » dans les années 50. Cette partition hors-normes, dans laquelle s’entremêlent plain-chant grégorien, percussions contemporaines et même un mouvement d’un quatuor de Beethoven, sera reprise à l’Amphithéâtre de l’Opéra Bastille, sous la houlette de Rachid Safir. Le chef a réuni son ensemble Solistes XXI, le Quatuor Parisii, les chanteurs Dominique Vellard et Emmanuel Vistorky et le percussionniste Abel Billard.
