« Vind », c’est tout simplement le vent, en suédois. À entendre le rapport aérien que Loïs Le Van entretient au chant, on comprend qu’il ait choisi ce mot léger et poétique pour titrer son album sorti chez Cristal Records le 30 août. Dans un trio qui l’associe de manière originale à la guitare de Paul Jarret et au piano de Sandrine Marchetti, le vocaliste développe une poésie sobre et subtile, mélancolique et introspective. Revendiquant l’influence de Chet Baker et Shirley Horn pour leur rapport minimaliste aux paroles et à l’interprétation, il assume aussi l’influence, qu’il partage avec Paul Jarret, de ce jazz scandinave qui a trouvé asile chez ECM, de Trygve Seim à Tord Gustavsen, et sait faire une place au silence et à la contemplation.
