Représentante engagée de la danse hip-hop, Bintou Dembélé mène depuis des années des ateliers d’initiation à la danse en MJC, en parallèle à sa carrière d’interprète et son engagement au sein de différents collectifs. C’est peut-être cette habitude du terrain qui lui a donné l’envie de créer un genre nouveau, qui veut s’adresser à tous : la création qu’elle propose au Théâtre d’Ivry (qui l’accueille en résidence depuis le début du mois de janvier pour cette production) est un trio qui se définit comme « comédie chorégraphique hip-hop, pour tout public de 6 à 106 ans ». Il s’agira de rencontre, d’univers urbain, de la danse comme moyen de rencontrer l’autre, et de l’humour comme regard sur le monde. Le tout dans un écrin de graffitis et de vidéo, concocté par Kalouf et Manifeste productions : des artistes engagés dans la culture hip-hop depuis plusieurs années. On attend avec impatience le résultat de leur collaboration.
