Il faut aller écouter la parole chantante et cahoteuse du poète belge Jean-Pierre Verheggen, lancée à tue-tête comme un manifeste poétique. Elle exprime à la fois le désir de vivre et la colère des ratés de l’existence : « Mamanque ! » En ce monde bondé de décideurs et d’experts discoureurs, il reste une bouée de sauvetage destinée aux victimes de ces palabres vides, les naufragés d’une existence populaire rivée à la feuille d’impôt tombée du boulot/bouleau, le salut par l’écriture. Avec son rythme et ses périodes, ses jeux de mots et ses ressassements, la poésie de Verheggen re-crée le monde, espace du Nord wallon ou région de France ; un terroir lourd, énigmatique, sensuel, chaotique et pornographique. À côté des top managers aptes à « clarifier les savoir-faire motivationnels », à côtés des directrices à la Culture et à la Communication, à côté de l’Académie et de l’Université, tous prétendument habilités à se saisir de la parole pour déclamer leurs mots ronflants , tous « truands et truandes du pire truisme, pauvres d’esprit experts », s’insurge la langue authentique du poète. Elle tourne le dos aux hâbleurs politiques pour leur opposer sa propre luxure poétique, le pouvoir enchanteur du verbe qui enseigne à aimer et à libérer la sonate intérieure en chacun. « Oxygénons-nous sans gêne… Défonce de fumer. »
« Une langue souveraine avec ses vociférations saines »
Tout dire, tout parler, tout oser, tout échouer. La liberté consiste à s’ « engager dans le langagement ».Une injonction à honorer le verbe ; les rappeurs et autres slammeurs peuvent abandonner leur style pompier. Bonnaffé court sur le plateau, monte et descend, pose son barda, enlève sa veste et reprend son souffle. Il se tient sur le comptoir d’un troquet avec loupiottes, bouteilles à boire, boules de sapin et bonnet de Père Noël clignotant kitch. On retrouve dans ce matériau sonore un air de Rabelais ou de Céline, les travailleurs de mine d’une langue souveraine avec ses vociférations saines et ses visites dans le for intérieur de l’artiste qui gronde d’un feu permanent. Si la poésie reflète les beautés terrestres de l’univers, le poète et l’acteur font advenir le bouffon qui dort en soi. Mais un bouffon noble, éloigné du terme injurieux de la langue des banlieues et des jeunes qui stigmatisent la personne ridicule, repérée comme pas sérieuse. Avec Bonnaffé et Verheggen, le bouffon retrouve sa place royale : il fait rire en philosophe.
