ORCHESTRE SYMPHONIQUE / VINCENNES
On savoure, souvent avec délectation, l’observation du parcours sans faute de Victor Julien-Laferrière, devenu star internationale de son instrument depuis son triomphe au concours Reine Élisabeth de Belgique en 2017. Mais la personnalité généreuse du jeune violoncelliste l’amène à élargir régulièrement ses champs d’action et à ne pas se laisser enfermer dans une attitude étriquée : il a par exemple créé son propre festival l’an passé à Sens, Les Sensationnelles, et vient d’accepter de reprendre les commandes d’une autre manifestation, plus historique celle-ci, le Festival du Comminges, dans le Sud-Ouest de la France. Mais le nouveau visage à découvrir du violoncelliste est bien celui de chef d’orchestre. Pour se consacrer à la direction, Victor Julien-Laferrière vient de créer sa propre formation : l’orchestre Consuelo. Invité avec ses amis musiciens de la saison Prima la Musica de Vincennes, il dirige des œuvres majeures de Debussy (Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune ; Rhapsodie pour clarinette et orchestre, avec Pierre Genisson en soliste), Ravel (Ma Mère l’Oye) et Debussy (La mer). Un programme à haut risque en forme de défi.
