ORCHESTRE NATIONAL D'ÎLE-DE-FRANCE
Devenues l’une des cartes postales de la capitale autrichienne retransmise chaque Nouvel An sur les écrans depuis la grande salle du Musikverein, les valses et autres danses dont s’est emparée la haute société viennoise sous le règne de l’empereur François-Joseph ne se résument pas à leur seule vitalité festive. Si Johann Strauss père est une figure de pionnier, c’est son fils, Johann Strauss II qui a fait la postérité de cette musique « légère », avec des pages comme Le beau Danube bleu, Sang viennois ou la Valse de l’empereur, que l’avant-garde de la Seconde école viennoise, Berg, Schönberg et Webern, n’a pas dédaigné de transcrire pour quatuor à cordes. Natif lui-même de Vienne, et violoniste de formation comme les Johann Strauss père et fils, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian défend la virtuosité de l’écriture et le raffinement de l’orchestration d’un répertoire qui dépasse le pittoresque et s’est inscrit au patrimoine musical universel, avec lequel pourra se mesurer l’excellence de l’Orchestre national d’Île-de-France.
