Loretta Strong est en perdition sur son vaisseau spatial. Le méchant Monsieur Drake a coupé l’oxygène. Loretta appelle à l’aide mais Linda parasite la communication et lui annonce que la Terre, colonisée par « les Hommes-Singes de l’Etoile Polaire », vient d’exploser… Comment s’en sortir ? Comment trouver quelqu’un dans l’espace ? On est chez Copi, autrement dit en plein délire, « dans un grand océan, un grand bouillon schizophrène où par expérience esthétique, la question du corps et de son ontologie tragique se partage entre la scène et la salle », dit Gaël Leveugle, qui met en scène et interprète le spectacle.
Le plateau comme lieu de comparution
La musique de Jean-Philippe Gross accompagne cette plongée mystico-cosmique dans l’univers déjanté de Copi, qui s’inspire de l’esthétique punk en vogue lors de l’écriture de ce texte, en 1974. « Le trash, la défonce, livrent l’imagerie du corps à la pourriture et au poison et offrent l’avantage d’une autopsie du vivant, d’une lucidité sur nos profondeurs. », dit Gaël Leveugle, qui choisit d’affronter la logorrhée du génial iconoclaste sans autre artifice que celui du jeu, au milieu d’une structure en tubes métalliques, comme un danseur oriental équilibrant ses mouvements entre lyrisme et grotesque.
