Après d’importants travaux de restauration, l’orgue de l’Abbaye de Royaumont résonne à nouveau depuis quelques années dans l’ancien réfectoire. Cet instrument, construit en 1864 par le célèbre facteur Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, est tout particulièrement mis à l’honneur le dimanche 9 octobre. La programmation, comme il se doit à Royaumont, évite les sentiers battus. Le programme « Monstres sacrés » (à 15h) nous plonge dans la fin du XIXème siècle en France, avec notamment des œuvres de César Franck et de Théodore Dubois, eux-mêmes organistes. L’Ensemble Voix célestes est dirigé par l’organiste Marco Cortinovis, que l’on retrouve ensuite dans « Etude pour la Sainteté » (à 16h). Le musicien accompagne, à travers un choix de pièces sacrées, la chorégraphie d’Erika Di Crescenzo, pensée autour de la recherche de Dieu. Toujours aussi cosmopolite et versatile, Andy Emler fait de son côté dialoguer l’orgue de l’abbaye avec le saxophone de Guillaume Orti et la kora de Balaké Sissoko (17h). La journée s’achève enfin avec un concert organisé par l’association Aristide Cavaillé-Coll (18h), qui donnera à entendre les œuvres sélectionnées lors du dernier concours de composition Cavaillé-Coll. Entre les deux concerts, il ne faut pas manquer l’installation sonore dans le cloître de l’Abbaye, réalisée cette année par Maurilio Cacciatore.
