Après une première étape de création à La Menuiserie de Pantin, Louis Caratini, fils de Patrice, compositeur, contrebassiste et leader de jazz fameux (qui a longtemps trainé ses guêtres dans le sillage de chanteurs, en particulier de Maxime Leforestier), peaufine un tour de chant intitulé « Pour la bonne cause ». « J’écris des chansons. Ou plutôt elles surgissent parfois au coin d’une rue, au cours d’une résidence de théâtre ou d’un voyage à l’étranger. Elles sont toujours le récit d’une traversée, explique Louis Caratini, que l’on a remarqué en 2013 dans la mise en scène de Nica’s Dream d’après le livre de Pannonica de Kœnigswarter, mécène et protectrice des plus grands jazzmen américains. J’aime jouer à l’interprète, comédien ou pianiste. J’aime varier les plaisirs en enfilant la casquette du metteur en scène. La dernière idée d’être auteur en scène était tentante… ». Un spectacle mis en scène par Guillaume Barbot au terme d’une période de résidence de création au Pole d’Alfortville.
