Duc des Lombards / guitare helvète et ensemble
Pour son second album, le guitariste Louis Matute, Genevois établi à Lausanne, a fait le choix d’un Large Ensemble qui agrège autour de son quartet des musiciens ouverts sur le monde (on note la présence de Léon Phal, autre jeune pousse de la scène helvète, dans ses rangs) tout en étant résolument ancré dans le jazz contemporain. Parmi ses références, il cite Milton Nascimento, Christian Scott et Kurt Rosenwinkel, une triade qui ouvre de larges horizons où sa musique semble puiser, avec légèreté, couleur et lyrisme, ses inspirations. Moins soliste que metteur en sons, le guitariste aux racines honduriennes et germaniques dessine élégamment son continent de musique.
