BLUES / THEATRE DE L’ODEON
Né en 1964 à Buffalo dans l’État de New York et plongé dès son plus jeune âge dans un bain de sons et de rythmes, Lucky Peterson vient de signer un de ses opus les plus profonds, rendant hommage à ses racines musicales. Et donc à son père, James Peterson, qui fut le patron d’un club de blues et de jazz – The Governor’s Inn -, où l’on accueillait les meilleurs musiciens de Buffalo ou de passage, parmi lesquels des monstres sacrés tels que Buddy Guy ou Muddy Waters… Un disque en forme de déclaration d’amour au blues que Peterson sait mieux que quiconque aborder comme une matière vivante, comme en fusion, où chansons nouvelles et reprises se répondent et se fondent dans un flux de groove et d’émotion, de mémoire et d’espoir, de feeling de spleen. Le disque de la maturité d’un éternel jeune homme… sans âge.
