Déjà invité à la salle Gaveau en décembre 2018 par la série des Concerts de Monsieur Croche, le pianiste russe Lukas Geniušas fait son retour dans un récital que ne laisseront pas passer les amoureux du piano indifférents aux critères de notoriété. Car si cet encore jeune pianiste qui fêtera ses trente ans en 2020 n’est pas un inconnu, loin s’en faut, car il parcourt les scènes les plus prestigieuses (en France, régulièrement celle de la Roque d’Anthéron) et a glané dans sa prime jeunesse de nombreux Prix internationaux, il ne fait pas non plus partie du cercle fermé et souvent arbitraire des jeunes stars qui monopolisent l’attention. Son nouvel enregistrement, déjà salué avec enthousiasme par la critique, est consacré à Prokofiev (chez Mirare). Le compositeur russe sera logiquement au programme de ce récital parisien, aux côtés de Schubert (Allegretto in C minor D.915 ; Quatre Impromptus D.935 op. Posthume 142) et, plus surprenant car l’œuvre ne court pas les programmes, de Reynaldo Hahn avec des extraits du cycle Le Rossignol éperdu. Un recueil éminemment poétique et nostalgique dont son auteur a déclaré qu’il avait « presque entièrement été écrit avec des larmes ».
