Emilie Buestel et Marie Doiret ont fait du « hors scène » la raison d’être de leur démarche chorégraphique : leurs spectacles naissent dans la rue, sur la façade d’un immeuble, dans un appartement, une maison de retraite, un bar, une médiathèque… Avec Ma Maîtresse ?, tout est dit dans le titre, et c’est bel et bien en classe que la représentation a lieu. Une représentation qui ne dit d’ailleurs pas son nom, puisque les enfants accueillent l’événement de façon impromptue, sans s’y attendre. Dans cette posture, ils font la connaissance d’un étrange personnage qui pourtant reprend tous les codes d’une journée ordinaire à l’école, tout en les détournant de façon mystérieuse et loufoque. Les espaces sont réinvestis et transformés par les surgissements surréalistes de la danseuse, qui questionne en filigrane la figure de l’autorité au sein même de l’institution, et le rapport adulte-enfant.
