C’est autour de la Ravanne, tambour rond commun à toutes les îles de l’Océan Indien, que l’on retrouve aussi en Afrique de l’Est, en Inde et au Sri Lanka, que s’est construit le spectacle de la compagnie réunionnaise Taliipot avec quatre danseurs comédiens d’une rare présence, d’une rare intensité à la fois épurée, rigoureuse et profonde. Le corps de l’acteur “porte en lui la trace de l’exil, du voyage, de l’ailleurs, et aussi le murmure d’un océan primordial, promesse d’un monde en devenir,” souligne le metteur en scène Philippe Pelen Baldini. Le théâtre Taliipot interroge ce corps porteur de mémoire et d’élans, qui devient ici le lieu ritualisé de la représentation. Un corps en écho vivant et vibrant à un pays riche d’Histoire et d’humanité plurielle : La Réunion, terre d’esclavage, d’exils et de métissage. La pièce rend hommage aux grands Marrons, rebelles resistants, esclaves fuyant leur sinistre condition et subissant une terrible répression lors de leur arrestation. Cet hommage dialectique exalte la nécessité de la fraternité et de la liberté, la force de vie au sein de la communauté humaine. Un cérémonial émouvant à ne pas manquer…
