« Machine sans cible est une pièce sur l’amour, l’intelligence, leurs définitions et les ponts qui les relient. » déclare Gildas Milin, auteur et metteur en scène. Diantre ! Pour explorer ces troublantes questions qui taraudent la littérature et éreintent la philosophie depuis des lustres, il a réuni quelques copains un soir d’été afin que chacun livre son expérience intime. Soit. Il reprend le processus, ici mis en abyme, et tricote la trame de cette conversation nocturne, enregistrée et retravaillée pour faire pièce. Dans une déco tendance white cube (mais subtilement tachetée de photos de papillons noirs allusivement jetées sur le sol), ils sont donc sept acteurs qui tournicotent sur le plateau en préparant l’enregistrement de leurs ébats intellectuels. Les uns bidouillent les micros ou cherchent une rallonge, les autres papotent ou tripotent leur portable. Ils attendent Rose. Qui n’arrive pas. Après ces prolégomènes bien longuets qui tentent de camoufler, l’air de rien, la représentation sous le feuillage touffu des banalités, après les dérobades et les rires d’esquive, enfin quelqu’un se lance.
Sensible sans cible
Chacun y va alors de sa petite anecdote, de son petit cliché, de son petit vécu, de ses petites confessions philosophiques, déversant gentiment le tout dans les clapotis de la discussion. Qui parfois s’affole et se prend à bégayer. Tous s’agitent alors en chœur en une prose chorégraphique erratique. Puis l’expérience dévie sur une histoire de robot « générateur numérique aléatoire », de poussins affectivement dépendants, d’influence des signaux amoureux sur la trajectoire de la machine… L’émotionnel au cœur du rationnel, la programmation du chaos, la perturbation des logiques mathématiques par l’aléa du vivant… Tiens, le sujet éveille un moment l’attention. Mais on passe juste à côté. C’est fini. Presque. Rose ne viendra plus. Décidément, le théâtre de Gildas Milin tient tout dans l’intention, ou le jeu de mots (« sans cible sensible »), malgré quelques rares éclats dansés de Julia Cima. Quoique la forme touche le fond : les errements « multidirectionnels » de la machine et des corps renvoient à l’errance vaine du texte. Les spectateurs sont invités à partager de plain-pied ces expérimentations, à regarder ces personnes qui se regardent en train de parler de leur intimité : à assister au « spectacle de la banalité, qui est aujourd’hui la véritable pornographie, la véritable obscénité – celle de la nullité, de l’insignifiance et de la platitude » comme disait Baudrillard.
