Voici 20 ans qu’il arpente les théâtres de l’Hexagone vêtu d’un pantalon trop court, trop vert et d’un polo trop moulant. En cette rentrée, c’est dans une robe ample et fendue (également verte), avec de longs gants d’opéra (roses), que Marc Fraize se présente à nous. Car son célèbre personnage, Monsieur Fraize, a dépassé sa timidité pour se lancer dans l’aventure de la vie à deux. Il nous parle de l’élue de son cœur, Madame Fraize, une femme « tout aussi fragile que lui, mais (…) beaucoup plus libre ». « C’est bien Monsieur Fraize qui fait le spectacle, précise le comédien. C’est son métier et il a de la bouteille… Il a longtemps vécu dans l’ombre de ses parents, surprotégé et relativement esseulé. Aujourd’hui, il vit dans la lumière de sa femme, qui le guide. Même s’il a bien du mal à l’admettre. » Sur un plateau nu, muni d’un micro sur pied et d’un haut tabouret, Marc Fraize va chanter, nous faire rire et nous parler des femmes.
