Semblant sortie d’un dessin de Dubout, Madame Anaïs est tout en rondeurs et en courbes. Accompagnée par le pianiste de jazz Pascal Versini, Edwige Pellissier fait renaître l’ambiance ensoleillée de l’opérette marseillaise, où la voix porte haut le plaisir de chanter, les éclats de rire, l’insolence moqueuse et les sanglots tonitruants. Pilier historique de la troupe des Carboni, Edwige Pellissier continue de rendre hommage, avec ce spectacle, à cette veine marseillaise faite de gouaille, d’émotion et de plaisante drôlerie, ainsi qu’à toute une époque qui voyait alors Marseille comme la ville du sourire de l’accorte Angèle, et ses habitants comme de plaisants drilles à l’air enjôleur.
Une héroïne qui chante et déchante
Soliloque comique ponctué d’échanges avec l’aide-soignant Vladimir, Mademoiselle Espérance est le touchant portrait d’une femme au cul aussi généreux que le cœur. Confinée dans sa maison de retraite, Anaïs se souvient, évoque les planches qu’elle aurait tant voulu brûler, et « nous confie ses doutes, ses espoirs et ses vaines ambitions ». « Se télescopent passé gorgé d’espérance et présent qui déchante, à l’instar des rires et des larmes que provoque la pièce » et que les Carboni, grands spécialistes du théâtre burlesque, font cascader et couler à l’envi.
