Pierre Bertrand, compositeur de jazz français formé à l’école classique, et Sharon Sultan, danseuse israélienne, ont confronté et fondu leur art, jusqu’à l’éclosion d’un opéra flamenco où gravitent les cultures andalouse, séfarade et française. Un livret tragique, porté par la créativité du scénographe d’origine hispano-marocaine Jean-Antoine Hierro, consacre cette rencontre de la tradition et de la fougue. Intimité sensuelle et émotion spectaculaire s’y provoquent et s’y apprivoisent au gré de jeux musicaux tout en nuances. Atmosphère gitane, esthétique contrastée : la dramaturgie et la finesse classiques rencontrent la rigueur flamboyante flamenca.
