Le théâtre nomade, la Compagnie Les contes du Turpial, la Cie Java Rebelle, Le Carrosse d’Or et bien sûr Collectif Masque, compagnie organisatrice et fédératrice, réunissent leurs talents et présentent des pièces masquées, dont trois créations. L’une, Le Tour de chant de Monsieur Pantalone, est née grâce à une idée originale de Mario Gonzalez, qui est aussi interprète de la pièce mise en scène par Hacid Bouabaya. Monsieur Pantalone, célèbre personnage de la Commedia dell’Arte, livre ici sa vision du théâtre, vite troublée par l’imprévu. On peut voir aussi Dom Juan Impuni d’après Molière, mis en scène par Mario Gonzalez, où comme son titre l’indique la rébellion farouche, la soif d’indépendance et l’existentielle inconstance de ce joyeux jouisseur mènent les débats. Trois comédiens, Mariana Araoz, Christophe Patty et Philippe Risler, interprètent impeccablement la douzaine de personnages de la pièce. A voir aussi une autre création, Boire & Déboires d’Yves Javault, dans une mise en scène d’Etienne Champion. Sous-titrée Les Dithyrambes de la Ménade, la pièce, qui s’appuie sur le duo formé par Anna Cottis et Christophe Patty, évoque le vin et l’ivresse, à travers Dionysos, Rabelais, Baudelaire et autres chantres de la dive bouteille. Quant au professeur Pontivy, son rôle consiste en une mise en garde argumentée, mais que peut la science contre l’enivrement ?
Ambiance musicale et festive
Parade, Les derniers Clowns, adapté par Xavier Legasa et mis en scène par Mariana Araoz, fait vivre des clowns fragiles et tenaces, qui dans un théâtre menacé par la guerre omniprésente, jouent leur pièce à l’aide de bribes de décors et costumes. Dans une ambiance musicale et festive, la création collective La dernière Noce mise en scène par Karl Eberhard explore les dessous d’une noce, entre dévoilement des non-dits et portraits savoureux des convives. Librement inspiré par la mythologie du peuple Yé’Kuana, qui habite dans l’Amazonie vénézuélienne, le conte musical L’Arbre aux mille fruits de Marcela Obregon, mis en scène par Christophe Patty, traite des thèmes de la faim et l’abondance. A travers les deux rencontres, “Foire aux masques“ et “Etat des lieux du masque sur la scène contemporaine“ (les 21 et 28 mai), Mai des Masques met en avant la transmission, à l’instar de la figure tutélaire Mario Gonzalez, grand pédagogue. Une manifestation à investir en famille, pour apprécier l’étonnante présence du masque, et la singulière qualité de jeu qu’il fait naître.
