« Les voilà qui se promènent main dans la main », lance Gary à Nina, au sujet d’enfants marchant en compagnie de leur père.« Quand ils vous tiennent par la main comme ça, on s’imagine qu’ils la lâcheront jamais, mais un jour ils la lâchent et vous restez là à agiter votre main vide, dans le vide. » Lauréat, en 2005, du prix Paris Ouverts/Festival de la jeune création pour sa mise en voix de Main dans la main, Edouard Signolet revient aujourd’hui à la pièce tragi-comique de Sofia Fredén, pièce qu’il envisage comme un « coup de gueule de ceux qui vivent face à ceux qui regardent les autres vivre ». Tableau grinçant d’une jeunesse violente, marginale, perdue dans l’impasse de ses excès et de ses mirages, le spectacle conçu par le jeune metteur en scène — à travers « une poésie décalée qui tourne notre société en dérision » — rejoint l’univers d’un jeu à l’échelle d’un espace urbain. Un jeu « sur lequel les personnages se déplacent de façon stratégique pour pouvoir survivre ».
