De ses œuvres ressortent souvent l’image du laid, ou celle du monstre. Rien d’étonnant à ce que la question du mal abreuve la nouvelle création de Marlene Monteiro Freitas. Le mal, oui, mais avec toute la nuance que suppose le titre, qui introduit la notion d’ivresse divine (Embriaguez divina) de l’écrivain Georges Bataille ! C’est donc une pièce complexe qui s’offre aux spectateurs, comme une descente dans les abymes de l’humain à la recherche des manifestations du mal. S’attachant à ses multiples variations, de l’horrifique au sadique, en passant par l’accidentel, la chorégraphe réunit neuf interprètes dans un tribunal de papier qu’elle ne manquera pas de faire voler en éclat. Dans un univers toujours excessif, elle déploie les outrances de cette bande de bureaucrates aux regards hallucinés, eux-mêmes vaincus par leur propre épuisement.
