Premier solo d’Amala Dianor créé en 2014, Man Rec (qui signifie « seulement moi » en wolof), la langue la plus parlée au Sénégal, est une porte d’entrée dans le travail subtil du chorégraphe. On y découvre sa danse fluide et élégante, qui associe touche contemporaine, influences de danses africaines et hip-hop, univers dans lequel il a fait ses débuts. En 2020, il décide de transmettre ce solo à Nangaline Gomis, qui souhaitait reprendre un extrait du solo de Dianor pour ses études. Il en résulte une recréation, dans un autre corps, une autre énergie. La jeune chorégraphe Leïla Ka déplie quant à elle son premier solo, l’intense Poder Se. En robe et en baskets elle fait sonner sa danse intense, où ont infusé diverses influences, de la house au théâtre d’improvisation sans parole. Plusieurs personnages semblent se débattre dans ce solo, dans une quête d’émancipation très personnelle.
