Epuré et hors de tout folklore, le spectacle entrelace manipulations d’objets et productions sonores, et fait naître des états de corps singuliers. C’est suite à des ateliers de travail à Maputo avec des artistes mozambicains qu’a été créée cette pièce originale, où les sons et les rythmes volent la vedette au mouvement spectaculaire. Six interprètes sont parvenus à maîtriser les techniques de jonglage pour conquérir des formes particulières d’expérience physique, à la croisée du jonglage, du chant, de la danse et de la musique percussive.
Rite abstrait
Capables de maîtriser les rythmes avec la rigueur qu’exige une partition musicale, ils utilisent les rebonds des balles sur leurs six tambours, le mouvement jonglé d’une massue ou de sacs en plastique qu’ils se transmettent en duo, ou le tournoiement d’un ancestral rhombe pour dessiner et affûter leur écriture. Voix, corps et objets correspondent en une sorte de rite abstrait et sensible. Après le Musée du Quai Branly voici quelques mois, une écriture singulière et envoûtante à découvrir à Villeneuve en Scène !
