STUDIO DE L’ERMITAGE / CHANSON
Le profil d’artiste et le type d’album qui nous feraient presque rouvrir le débat rendu célèbre par Serge Gainsbourg refusant un beau jour, sur un plateau de télévision, face à un Guy Béart ulcéré, de considérer la chanson comme un art majeur… Artiste de l’ombre, Marcel Kanche l’est tout autant, parce qu’il est souvent la plume d’autres en pleine lumière (Bashung, Vanessa Paradis, M…), et parce que son art, quand il s’empare du micro, s’enveloppe volontiers de douces volutes rock aux accents crépusculaires. « Mor », qu’il vient de publier sur un nouveau label (Des Hautes Négligences), créé avec son jeune complice et producteur Antoine Bataille (également au programme de ce concert), a été enregistré dans la solitude d’un presbytère qu’il a restauré dans le pays Mellois (dans les Deux-Sèvres). L’album s’avère l’une de ses plus belles réussites, à ranger aux côtés des inoubliables « Vertiges Des Lenteurs » ou « Dog songe » parus il y a une dizaine d’années. Petit cadeau : Carolyn Carlson s’invite sur un des titres… Autre solitaire inclassable et poétique, Antoine Bataille partagera ce concert avec son aîné pour présenter les chansons de son nouvel album « Crescent Hotel », qui semble devoir lui ouvrir (enfin) la voie d’une juste reconnaissance de son art fragile et sensible.
