« Rosa la Rouge est la concrétisation de deux envies qui m’habitaient depuis quelques années : concevoir un spectacle musicale avec Claire Diterzi – avec qui j’ai déjà travaillé pour la création de La Estupidez, au Théâtre national de Chaillot – et m’immerger dans l’univers de la grande figure féminine et révolutionnaire Rosa Luxemburg. Ce spectacle ne suit pas un cheminement biographique ou didactique. Ce qui nous a intéressé, Claire et moi, c’est de transposer l’esprit de Rosa Luxemburg avec imagination, c’est de nous inspirer de sa force de résistance et de conviction, de son intelligence, de ses idées pour élaborer une épopée musicale. Une épopée conçue comme une sorte d’installation plastique et sonore au sein de laquelle on projette des films ou des images d’archives, on joue de la musique et on chante des chansons… Tout cela autour de textes de Rosa Luxemburg, bien sûr, mais aussi de témoignages de personnalités liées à sa vie politique et intime.
Claire Diterzi : entre puissante et fragilité
Je trouve très excitant de rapprocher l’esprit révolutionnaire de Rosa Luxemburg au glamour et à l’humanité de Claire Diterzi, à la douce rage de sa musique. Il s’agit d’une artiste très atypique, dont l’univers va bien au-delà du monde de la chanson. Elle pense son art de manière large, ouverte, fait preuve d’une présence scénique inouïe, d’une personnalité très étrange, à la fois pleine de fragilité et de puissance. L’idée de faire entendre les mots de la résistance, de la révolution par le biais de sa beauté et de sa féminité m’a semblé particulièrement intéressante. A travers elle et à travers la force poétique qu’elle est capable de déployer sur scène, ces mots de résistance et de révolution apparaissent de façon nouvelle et, je crois, extrêmement encourageante. Car, il s’agit bien aussi, par le biais de ce spectacle, d’établir des ponts entre la réalité d’aujourd’hui, la mollesse politique dans laquelle nous nous trouvons et la vigueur intellectuelle d’un esprit aussi libre que celui de Rosa Luxemburg. »
