D’abord coincé dans le cliché de la samba carnaval, Faraco a été épaulé par
Didier Sustrac, révélant le compositeur interprète sensible tapi derrière la
guitare folklorique. Soutenu par Chico Buarque, Faraco a depuis lors écrit des
albums personnels, au succès d’estime grandissant. Empreinte bossa, samba
lumineuse, émotions du rire aux peines, arrangements dépouillés’ « La
souffrance du «sambiste» sourit sur la piste » (extrait de « Com Tradiçao »,
sortie le 13 avril chez Harmonia Mundi). Faraco assume la contradiction et
assume sa simplicité mature : « Je me suis rendu à l’évidence que mes
chansons naissent toujours sous une forme définitive guitare et voix? Le moment
était venu de montrer l’essence de mon travail. » explique-t-il. Son nouvel
album est un petit bijou.
