Une voix, deux guitares, deux artistes sur scène : c’est souvent dans le dépouillement d’une formule instrumentale que l’on mesure le plus finement l’ampleur du talent d’un interprète et la qualité d’une chanson. Jeune voix du fado, Marco Oliveira fait son retour au Festival de l’Imaginaire après une première apparition remarquée l’an passé. Musicien accompli et subtil – il s’accompagne avec brio à la guitare acoustique – il est aussi une plume, un poète des mots qui compose l’essentiel de son répertoire et explore les thèmes favoris du blues portugais : la beauté de Lisbonne (il peut apparaître en cela comme un disciple d’Alfredo Marceneiro), l’amour, la solitude, l’abandon… C’est triste, profond et beau. Cette jeune voix délicate, sensible et d’un grand naturel, aux aigus craquants, déjà familière des « maisons de fado » lisboètes, ne devrait pas tarder à se faire une place dans le cœur des parisiens. Avec l’excellent Miguel Amaral à la guitare portugaise (également pianiste et compositeur respecté).
