Le Conservatoire d’Art Dramatique que dirige Daniel Mesguich a la merveilleuse idée d’ouvrir aux musiciens et aux mélomanes les portes de sa merveilleuse salle (intacte depuis sa construction en 1822), haut lieu oublié de notre histoire musicale. C’est en effet là, au 2 bis de la rue du Conservatoire dans le 9ème arrondissement, dans les murs de l’ancien conservatoire de musique, que la Symphonie fantastique de Berlioz fut créée, que Chopin joua régulièrement ou que François Habeneck, à la tête d’une phalange qui allait devenir un jour l’Orchestre de Paris, dirigea pour la première fois en France les symphonies de Beethoven. Les pianistes François Chaplin et Marie-Josèphe Jude marchent dans les pas de leurs aînés pour un concert à deux pianos au programme passionnant : 2 Nocturnes ( Nuages et Fêtes ) de Debussy ( transcription par Ravel), Prélude à l’après midi d’un Faune de Debussy, La Valse de Ravel et la Deuxième suite de Rachmaninoff. « Cette salle représente pour moi beaucoup sur le plan émotionnel… confie François Chaplin. L’acoustique est très belle, intime et l’on ressent une vraie communion avec le public ». « Entre Marie-Joe et moi, l’ « alchimie » musicale a tout de suite fonctionné. Nous n’avons pas tout à fait la même sonorité et c’est justement ce paradoxe qui fonctionne » ajoute Chaplin. Un beau concert, un petit peu à part…
