THEATRE DE SAINT-QUENTIN-EN-YVELINES / RECITAL PIANO
Bien peu de sang-bleu échappèrent à la peine de mort prononcée par les tribunaux révolutionnaires. Cependant Hélène de Montgeroult sauvera sa tête en improvisant une fantaisie sur La Marseillaise devant le Comité de Salut public, montrant ainsi son attachement aux idéaux révolutionnaires. On ne sait trop si cet épisode s’est tenu, mais cette piano-fortiste d’immense talent traversera indemne la Révolution. Elle sera nommée professeur des classes de piano hommes du tout neuf Conservatoire de Paris et y jettera les bases de la technique « moderne » de l’instrument à clavier, qui s’imposait face au clavecin de l’ancien régime. Redécouverte récemment, ses études et sonates témoignent d’une belle inspiration. L’excellente Marielle Le Monnier va les faire découvrir au public sans aucun doute charmé.
